• Offline: independently control or connected to DMX console control. (1)Connect and test the lamps. (2)Insert the SD card. (3)Power on K16 and lamps. (4)After K16 self-check, display S-XX. (5)Press 'Set' to select chip type 1903. (6)Press 'Mode' to select the program, P-XX. (7)Observe lights display, waiting for back to display S-XX, the settings are saved. (8)If multiple controllers are in series, only needs to set the address of the first K16, other K16 are the same as the first K16. If in parallel, the address of K16 should be Interval 6 number, such as d001,d007... Adjusted address by Speed+/Speed-. Wait about 8 seconds, the address is saved. • Online: taking Madrix as an example (1)Shut down, remove the SD card. (2)Press and hold ’Set’, turn on K16 power switch, display H680. The item is to set the max pixels for per port of K16. (3)Press ’Mode’ to display F256. It is to set the max total universes for K16. (4)Press ’Mode’ to display C192. It is to set the last segment of IP for K16. (5)Press ’Mode’ to display d510. The item setting is based on protocols supported by the software, such as Madrix set d510, Resolume6 set d512, Arkaos set dA24. (6)Press 'Set' to display L001, the firmware setting is complete. (7)Connect the controller and computer. (8)Set network and internet for the controller. (9)Run Madrix and make settings.
• Wiring principles for controller signal-wires: (1)The distance from the controller port to the light strip should not exceed 20 meters. (2)The signal series connection between the lights should not exceed 3 meters. (3)Signal cables use cat5e and above UTP. (4)Both ends of the signal wire should be mark. (5)Signal wires and power lines casing pipe construction. (6)Please confirm with your light strip supplier the RGB order of the light strips and the definition of each signal line. (7)We have created the wiring diagram for your reference.
• About use of SD card: Only use offline needs SD card insert. (1)Must format SD card before copying files to it every time. (2)Find SD card on PC and right-click it, ”Format” — “File system' — Choose 'FAT'or'FAT32'; (3)Allocation unit size：Choose 'Default allocation size' or click 'Restore device defaults'; (4)Start formating. (5)Please turn off the power before performing the SD card insertion and removal. Hot-swap is not supported. (6) Copy program files(*.led) to the SD card's root directory. (7)Creating programs with LedMagic, K16 controller select controller type K-16000-ALL, generate 1 file for multiple program effects.
• Tips Ⅰ: Failure: Offline, power on, displays E-50, the SD card reading failure. Cause: (1)the SD card is empty or has no program file(*.led), (2)the program file (*. led) in the SD card does not match the controller model. (3)before copying program files, the SD card is not format to FAT or FAT32. Solution: Format the SD card, copy the correct program file, or replace the SD card, conduct test to rule out the possibility of SD card failure. When using our LedMagic software to create programs, please choose the correct controller type (K-16000-ALL for this product). We can also provide some regular program effects for free.
• Tips Ⅱ: Failure: Power on, indicator light is well, but the LED lights have no effect. May have problems: (1)Please check if the DATA wires of LED lights are properly connected to the controller. (2)It is connected to the SPI/TTL lights, the controller and the light must be grounded together. Which means the ground wire of light and the ground wire of controller must be connected together. (3)Please check that the selected controller type matches IC of the LED light, when creating program file (*.led) with LedMagic. Different types of controllers, programs are not compatible.
• LedMagic might be false reported or deleted by antivirus software, but it is not a virus and no harm. The reason why it's been alarmed is the author didn't submit it's code to antivirus database. Antivirus software did not add it to the whitelist.
